US Paint HVAC Study

Our firm analyzed current VOC emissions with various spaces and determined adequate means of reducing VOC’s and odors within work area via increased ventilation/exhaust or implementation of air cleaners. This effort included HVAC load calculations for conditioned areas with full Energy Analyses. Given CAS#’s for each component, we used ACGIH TLV’s and BEI’s thresholds provided by the Client. Based on volatility of each component, we implemented the ASHRAE IAQP to recommend ACH rates, exhaust rates and possible filtration in certain areas. This study included development of 30% CD’s used for pricing purposes such that a business case could be developed.
