Northern Illinois University, Boiler Room Addition

Addition of new central boilers for campus steam supply system and administrative offices to support operation of the West boiler plant. My firm worked with Valdes Architecture and Engineering, Inc. to perform HVAC and plumbing design for the administrative building and provide heating and ventilation/make-up air for the boilers in this new addition and existing boilers located within the existing boiler plant. Valdes provided Revit modeling for this work so my firm performed load calculations, selected all equipment, developed mark-ups for production for drawings, provided written specifications for this project and back-checked all drawings. Deliverables included 30% IFR, 60% IFR, 90% IFA and 100% Construction Documents. My firm is also providing full Construction Administration for this project.
