Mascoutah Middle School-Commissioning for Construction

This project was nearing final construction completion and our firm was asked to lead the Commissioning for Construction effort which was overlooked by the construction team. Time was of the essence so we quickly analyzed all documents, developed a Cx Plan, and scheduled site visits to begin the Verification Checklist execution. During two site visits, we discovered over a dozen construction deficiencies ranging from incorrect breaker sizes to incomplete seismic restraint installation. Although the team appreciated our findings, the Owner ultimately decided not to complete the commissioning process.
